How owners opt in to election texts

VoteStead texts election notices from 1-844-398-VOTE (844-398-8683) only to owners who check the box below. That number is used only to send election text messages. Support and contact is 1-855-573-VOTE (855-573-8683). This page shows the exact screen an owner sees.

Where the opt-in happens

The owner's association gives VoteStead the owner's email or mails the owner a notice with an access code.
The owner opens their voting link at votestead.com and signs in with a one-time code.
Before the ballot, the owner sees the "Before you vote" screen. The text message box is optional and starts unchecked. Voting does not require it.
