About VoteStead

Association votes decide budgets, rules and who sits on the board. Owners should trust the result without trusting any one person, and the tools should work for every owner, including those without email.

Why VoteStead exists

Many associations miss quorum because mailed ballots go unreturned. Online voting fixes turnout, but many tools ask the board to trust the vendor, or the manager, with every ballot.

VoteStead takes a different approach. Ballots are sealed before they leave the owner's device, no single person opens them, and every owner checks their own ballot after the vote.

Our independence commitment

  • We run elections. We never act as managing agent for an association whose election we run.
  • We sell no other paid services to those associations.
  • No board member, candidate or manager sees how an owner voted.

Who runs VoteStead

VoteStead is a product of Alientech Services LLC, a technology services company. We build and operate the VoteStead platform and run managed elections for our clients.

Become a founding association

We are opening VoteStead to its first associations across the country. Founding associations run a free test election, work directly with the people who build the product, and receive a written quote before any binding vote.
